(Un)Sheltered is a facility that both serves displaced citizens as well as the general public. The center is based on three main issues that displaced citizens face every day; a place to sleep, shower, and do laundry. The structure and design of the center is based on a modular pod system. There are three pod types, one for just sleeping, one for laundry and sleeping, and the largest one is for sleeping, laundry, and showering. There are 125 pods stacked on three levels. The pods are rented by the hour, which makes it a good choice for workers who need to take a nap during the daytime. In contrast, homeless people don’t have to pay to stay there.
